Summer is nearly over already.
I waved goodbye to the circus on Sunday (August 24), having collected a grand total of £167 over four nights there.

But I’m not counting (much!). On September 21, I will be flying out to Beijing to start my speedy book-writing odyssey.
Since joining the circus, I have managed to attend several shows and have collected £34 on the first Saturday night, £72 on the second Saturday night and £41 yesterday (Wednesday) – which makes £147 [...]

Visa la Trans-Sib!

Our passports have arrived back today with each of the three visas on them. It’s soooo exciting! I can’t believe the trip is only just over five weeks away now.
I collected £34 at the circus on Saturday – interestingly all from mainland visitors. More money is coming in each day.

The circus and the Olympics

I went down to Jay Miller’s Circus (currently here on the Isle Of Wight) on Wednesday evening. They are old friends of ours and the circus is celebrating its 21st Anniversary.

Gosh!

The hospice has emailed me today to say they have received a cheque for £500 from someone I know, which has completely blown me away because it is an extremely generous gesture!
This does take the amount raised so far over the £1,000 mark (one tenth of the target amount) which is absolutely fantastic!
